Nels Andersen who has been critically ill at his home for the past two months and was in an Omaha hospital for many weeks before, quietly passed away last Saturday morning at 6 o'clock while the devoted wife and an unbroken family of six grown up children watched at the bedside. Since the nervous breakdwon, nearly four months ago the patient grew thinner and weaker until his body was a mere shadow. Miss Esther, who teaches in Havelock [ in Lincoln, Neb.] was called home Friday for they felt sure that the end was near at hand. The funeral was largely attended Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Homer, assisted by Rev. Horton, conducting the service. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made at Prospect Hill cemetery in a new lot as this is the first death in the large family. Nels Andersen was 63 years of age, was born in Denmark but came to America at the age of 30 and located in New York where he was married 4 years later. He then moved to this community where he has since resided, provided a splendid home and reared and educated his family. He was a man of few words, but of kindly spirit and his friends were numbered by him.
