Born in Columbiana April 29, 1878, he was the son of Jacob and Lucinda Hisey Kyser. His first wife, Elizabeth Groner Kyser, died in 1948. A daughter, Allene, and a son, Wilbur, also prededed him in death. In 1953, he married Mrs. Odessa Taylor, who survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs, Russell Stallsmith of Salem; a son Hugh N. Kyser of Salem; two grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Martha Miller of Columbiana; and a half sister, Mrs; Emma Martz of Port Huron, Mich. He came to Salem from Columbiana in 1943. A stationary engineer, he was employed at Salem City Hospital for the last 14 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Arbaugh-Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Deitch officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
