Description	:	Nelva J. (Boehlke) Johnson, longtime Garrison, North Dakota resident died December 12, 2004, in Yuma, Arizona where she had spent the last four years of her life with her family. Nelva was born August 28, 1938 to Rueben and Frieda (Buchert) in Plainview, Minnesota. In 1943, her family moved from Minnesota to Coleharbor, North Dakota. In 1948, her parents bought the Bowden farm two miles east and one half mile south of Garrison. Nelva lived there until her marriage in 1958. (Boehlke) Johnson, longtime Garrison, North Dakota resident died December 12, 2004, in Yuma, Arizona where she had spent the last four years of her life with her family. Nelva was born August 28, 1938 to Rueben and Frieda (Buchert) in Plainview, Minnesota. In 1943, her family moved from Minnesota to Coleharbor, North Dakota. In 1948, her parents bought the Bowden farm two miles east and one half mile south of Garrison. Nelva lived there until her marriage in 1958. After the break up of her marriage, she and her young son, Kim Johnson, moved back to the farm. She lived there until 1974, when she moved into Garrison. In 2000, Nelva and her mother moved to Yuma, Arizona, to live near her son and his family. Nelva worked at Elsie's cafe in Garrison. Later, she was a dietitian at the Garrison Memorial Hospital until she retired in 1992. Nelva was an incredibly caring and gracious woman who never seemed to have a cross word for anyone. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Nelva is survived by her mother, Frieda; son, Kim (Joan); three grandchildren, Kory, Nicole and Jacqueline; sister, Gayle Fowler; brother-in-law, David Nelson;aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins.
