Description	:	Nettie was 8th child born to Andrew Frazier Brockman and his 2nd wife, Sarah Carson Brockman. Andrew was a successful farmer and raiser of livestock in Linn County, Iowa and later in Cass County, Iowa. At the age of 26, Nettie was married to Gilbert Helgeson on December 17, 1891 in Pottawatomie County, Iowa. She was his second wife. From his first wife, Anna Furney Helgeson (1853-1890), she had two stepsons, Charles and Elmer, to take care of. Sometime after her daughter was born in 1903, she hand wrote a list of her four children: *Ernest Andrew Helgeson born on June 20, 1893 in Nance County, Nebraska Penrose Wiley Helgeson was born September 19, 1895 in Nance County, Nebraska Isaac Gilbert Helgeson born on May 23, 1901 in Custer County, Nebraska *Annie Bell Helgeson born on September 23, 1903 in Custer County, Nebraska (there was no notation on the list of Annie's early death in 1904) Nettie died at the age of 41 and is buried next to her daughter, who died 2 years earlier. Gilbert and Isaac moved on West to Wyoming, where Isaac was listed as a 9 year old living with his older brother, Charley, and his wife on the 1910 census. Gilbert was living alone on the farm next to them. 17 year old Ernest and 15 year old Wiley must have gone off on their own by that time.
