Description	:	Mrs. Dick Verdoorn, 85, of Orange City, died Tuesday, July 21, in a nursing home at Orange City. Services were at 10 a.m. Friday in the Alton Reformed Church at Alton. The Rev. Ray Tilstra officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton. Family visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, in the Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City. Mrs. Verdoorn, the former Nettie Vink, was born Oct. 26, 1895, at Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. She came to the United States at the age of 9. She married John Fedders in 1913. He died in January of 1937. She married Mr. Verdoorn Oct. 25, 1946, at Alton. They lived in the Orange City vicinity and moved to the Pioneer Home in 1973. She was a member of the Alton Reformed Church. Survivors include the widower; two sons, Dick Fedders of Sheldon and Gerald Fedders of Glenwood; four daughters, Mrs. Jay (Bernice) Pruis of Morrison, Ill., Mrs. Henry (Nettie) Mellema of Orange City, Mrs. John (Marie) Maassen of Maurice and Mrs. Frank (Johanna) De Haan of Hudsonville, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Arie (Alice) Mans of Orange City; one sister, Mrs. Peter (Henrietta) Kallemey of Denver.
