Description	:	OTTUMWA – Neva M. Pettit, 97, formerly of Agency, passed away November 22, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa IA. She was born second of four children to George and Mavern Schwartz Klicker on September 27, 1921 in Wapello County, Iowa. A graduate of Eldon High School, she was employed at John Morrell and Company for 23 years until their closure in 1973. Read More	OTTUMWA – Neva M. Pettit, 97, formerly of Agency, passed away November 22, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa IA. She was born second of four children to George and Mavern Schwartz Klicker on September 27, 1921 in Wapello County, Iowa. A graduate of Eldon High School, she was employed at John Morrell and Company for 23 years until their closure in 1973. She then worked in the office of Ottumwa Regional Health Center for 12 years, retiring in May 1987. Neva was a charter member of Hickory Grove Community Church and remained active in the church for over 25 years. Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Barbara (Jack) Zwer; sister-in-law, Marianne Klicker; two step- daughters, Marilyn (Ed) Mairet and Connie (Jerry) Cronin; six grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Gerald and Harry Klicker. Her body has been cremated. The family will hold a private graveside celebration of her life at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa. Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society. Reece Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
