Neva was born March 18, 1918, at Hendley, in Furnas County, to Robert L. and Louise M. (Kirste) Martin. Neva grew up in Furnas County and graduated from Hendley High School in 1935. Neva married Floyd W. Longsine on April 9, 1938. They began their life together in Hendley, Neb., and then moved to Lebanon, Neb., in 1952 until settling in Central City, Neb., in 1958. Neva was born March 18, 1918, at Hendley, in Furnas County, to Robert L. and Louise M. (Kirste) Martin. Neva grew up in Furnas County and graduated from Hendley High School in 1935. Neva married Floyd W. Longsine on April 9, 1938. They began their life together in Hendley, Neb., and then moved to Lebanon, Neb., in 1952 until settling in Central City, Neb., in 1958. Neva worked at the Central City Bowling Alley and Merrick Manor until her retirement in 1988. Neva was a member of the Central City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, dominos and bingo. She was an avid fan of Cornhusker football, crossword puzzles, and camping with her family. Survivors are: daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Charles Nelson of Central City, Janet John of Lincoln, Beverly and Michael Hulsebusch of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Burdella Martin of Arapahoe; and son-law, Bill Sitzman of Culbertson. Neva was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Floyd Longsine in 1977; daughter, Sharon Sitzman in September of 2011; sisters, Merna Smith, Irma Mart and Glenva Hinkle; and son-in-law, Dwain John. Burial was in the Central City Cemetery, Central City, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on May 29, 2012
