Read More	The following obituary was published on May 11, 2006 in the Palladium-Item in Richmond, Indiana: "Neva Naomi Lea, age 88, of Brookville, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville" Mrs. Lea was born in Union County, Indiana on March 26, 1918, to Franklin County natives Charles Grover Seal and Edith Hamann Seal. Growing up on a farm north of Whitcomb, she attended Pea Ridge School and Brookville High School from which she graduated in 1936. She was united in marriage to James E. Lea of Brookville on Aug. 20, 1938 in Whitewater, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1976. From 1969 to 1987, Mrs. Lea was a secretary at Brookville High School. She had also worked part-time for Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home and for a predecessor of Franklin County Public Transportation. Mrs. Lea was a member of Brookville United Methodist Church and the Brookville Order of Eastern Star Chapter 449, of which she was secretary for 25 years as well as a worthy matron. In addition, she was a former member of the Brookville Women's Club, the Eta Kappa Chapter of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, which she had served as president, and the Twin Forks Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution. She also was involved over the years in several charitable activities, including working at the quarterly blood drives for the Hoxworth Blood Center, serving as a Red Cross Volunteer at the Fayette Memorial Hospital and organizing National Foundation March of Dimes campaigns. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Edith Yvonne (Terry) Carson of West Lafayette, Ind., two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Charles (Marilyn) Lea of Richmond, Ind., and Jeffrey A. Lea of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter H. and Carl Eugene Seal, and a granddaughter, Karen Elaine Del Monte. Rev. Christopher Millay, pastor of the Brookville United Methodist Church, will officiate the funeral services on Saturday, May 13, 2006, 10 a.m. at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.
