Heiar, 56 farmer of Lamotte, Ia., died at Mercy hospital Friday morning, of injuries received a week earlier when he lost control of the tractor he was driving and it upset, pinning him underneath. According to his son, Raymond, and a hired man, Norman Schoor, they were riding in a hayrack which was being pulled by the tractor. They said it became uncoupled, and as they called at the driver, he turned around. As he turned, they said, the tractor headed for the ditch by the side of the road and upset. Mr. Heiar never regained consciousness. The body will be at the family residence at Lamotte Friday evening, from wherethe funeral will be held to Holy Rosary church, Lamotte, at 9 o'clock, standard time Monday morning. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Heiar, son of J. P. and Anna Gross Heiar, was born at St Donatus on June 24, 1890, and lived on a farm all his life. He was married to Mary Arensdorf on April 30, 1912. Survivors are his wife; one son, Raymond, Lamotte; one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Bernice) Weber, Cuba City, Wis.; one grandson, William Heiar, Lamotte; three brothers, John Heiar, Dubuque, Clem Heiar, Bancroft, Ia., and Herman Heiar, route 4, Dubuque; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Anna) Arensdorf and Mrs. N. A. (Catherine) Hintgen, both of Lamotte, and Mrs. Aron (Mary) Lampe, Bellevue; severalnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. The Nemmers-Didesch funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
