Interment was in St. Martin's Catholic cemetery with Romaine Konradi, Lawrence Konrady, Lowell Konrady, Louis Thies, John Ziegmann and Leo Thies the attendants. Nicholas Frank Konrady, son of Joseph and Katherine (Thies) Konrady was born December 28, 1889 in Sac County, Iowa on a farm near Odebolt. Shortly after Nick was born he moved from the farm with his family into a home in Odebolt. He attended St. Martin's Catholic school and after his schooling he began working as a clerk in an Odebolt grocery store. He entered the United States Army during World War I on July 26 , 1918 and served overseas. When he was discharged on October 18, 1919 he returned to Odebolt. He was united in marriage to Miss Clara Stribe November 16, 1920 at Manning, Iowa and the couple settled in Odebolt where he managed and later on operated his own grocery store. He later closed the store and had various other employment in Odebolt before he began operating the Consumer's Grocery Store in Odebolt. He was employed by the Iowa State Liquor Commission in Odebolt. Mr. Konradv and his wife spent their entire life in Odebolt. They had a daughter and four sons. Mrs. Konrady died December 29, 1967 and a few months after her death Nick went to live at Twilight Acres Nursing home in Wall Lake, Iowa. He had attained the age of 78 years 11 months and 18 days. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic church and a former member of Gonzaga Council 1876 of the Knights of Columbus of Odebolt. He was also a member of Roose Post #313 of the Odebolt American Legion; a member of the Odebolt V. F . W. and a former member of the Odebolt Fire Department. Besides his wife he is preceded in death by his infant daughter, his parents and two brothers and a sister. Survivors include four sons, Howard of Fairfield, Floyd and Glenn of Ida Grove, and Lyle of Aurelia; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Adam of Phoenix, Ariz., Peter of Warren Robins, Ga., and Edward of Odebolt; two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Roy Hailing of Spencer, and Helen Konrady of Santa Monica, Cal.
