Description	:	Nicholas Schaf was born in Brem, Germany, August 15, 1835, and died August 4, 1913, aged 77 years, 11 months and 19 days. He immigrated to America when about 18 years of age, and settled with his parents in Pennsylvania. He was married to Miss Teresa Schenck, November 1, 1862, at Honesdale, Pa. Mr Schaf was a pioneer of Grafton, having resided in the vicinity thirty-six years, at the time of his death. Read More	Nicholas Schaf was born in Brem, Germany, August 15, 1835, and died August 4, 1913, aged 77 years, 11 months and 19 days. He immigrated to America when about 18 years of age, and settled with his parents in Pennsylvania. He was married to Miss Teresa Schenck, November 1, 1862, at Honesdale, Pa. Mr Schaf was a pioneer of Grafton, having resided in the vicinity thirty-six years, at the time of his death. Although he had reached a ripe old age, his interest in church, society and business remained active. The vacancy left by his death will be keenly felt, but none but the pleasant memories remain. He is survived by two sons, N. J. Schaf of Grafton and F. J. Schaf of Chicago; his wife and two sons having preceded him in death. The immediate relatives were all at his bedside during the last days of his illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Catholic Church, of which the deceased was a devoted member, and burial was made in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Grafton.
