Nick was confirmed on Oct 2, 1904. He immigrated to the US from Norway with a brother, Gunnar (who was two years older), March 11, 1910, and to Mapleton in 1914. Nick married Betsy Christina Grindberg on Jan. 12, 1916. He worked as a carpenter, and was school custodian in Mapleton for 30 years. Nick died of a heart attack on April 7, 1972.
