Skelton, an old resident of Douglas county, died at Lincoln, Friday evening September 29th. Mr. Skelton has been ill for some time and had but recently been taken to Lincoln for treatment. He was there only a few days before death came. Noah was born at Loveland, Iowa, May 5th, 1859. He was married to Miss Vera Brown, April 8, 1888, and they moved near Gretna to make their home, where Mr. Skelton was a farmer in 1889. In 1918 the Skeltons retried from the farm and came to Waterloo to live. He was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew him. Besides his wife, Vira, there are two children, Harry, who lives south of Waterloo and Miss Helen Skelton, assistant postmistress. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church and were in charge by the Rev. P. N. Shedd. Pallbearers were Messrs. George, Will and John Todd, A. J. Donahoo, Nelson J. Bell and James Fouts. Interment was at Prospect Hill cemetery. A large number attended the services to pay last respects to their old friend and neighbor.
