EBY, 74, a guest at the Mennonite Old Peoples Home, Maugansville, Md., for the last 2 1/2 years, died unexpectedly at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at the home. He was born near Hagerstown, a son of the late Reuben H. and Amanda B. (Reiff) Eby. He was a farmer and was later employed at the Martin Food Market, Hagerstown. Mr. Eby was a member of the Reiff Mennonite Church; near Cearfoss, Md. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Catherine H. (Martin) Eby, a guest at the Mennonite Old People's Home; three sons and two daughters: Edwin W. Eby, Manheim R. D. 3, Minister Glenn L. Eby, Hagerstown R. D. 2; Mrs. Lydia Diller, Hagerstown R. D. 5; Mrs. Ada Showalter, Hagerstown R. D. 6; and Omar E. Eby, Kitwe, Zambia, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Jonas R. Eby, Hagerstown R. D. 6; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Martin, Maugansville; Mrs. Florence Horst, a guest at the Mennonite Old Peoples Home, and Mrs. Elizabeth Martin, Hagerstown. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Reiff Mennonite Church, in charge of the following ministers: Bishop Reuben E. Martin, Nelson H. Martin and Earl M. Miller. Burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Friends may call at the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m and at the church an hour before the services.
