He was fifty-six years of age. Born in... Read More	Noah Ross Sterling Buried Here Yesterday Afternoon Noah Ross Sterling, prominent Crisfield resident, passed away suddenly at his home on Winfall avenue early Tuesday morning. He was fifty-six years of age. Upon rising from bed Tuesday morning, Mr. Sterling complained of not feeling very well but dressed for work and was about to leave the house when he suddenly dropped dead. He had been unusually active to the last, going about his work at one of the local seafood houses each day with great industry. His industriousness and his honesty made him a most valuable employee. Born in Crisfield, Mr. Sterling was the son of the late James L. Sterling and Mary Batts Sterling, prominent local residents before their death a number of years ago. He was a man of many wonderful qualities, and was a most outstanding citizen. He was a great believer in the Golden Rule and practiced its teachings in his everyday life. In the death of Mr. Sterling, Crisfield has lost one of its finest men and the sympathies of all are being extended to the bereaved and grief-stricken family. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Landon Sterling; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Ward, and three sons, Leon Sterling, Thomas Sterling and Eugene Sterling, all of this city. Funeral services were held from his late home yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Charles M. Elderdice, pastor of the Mt. Pleasant M.P. Church, assisted by Rev. J. Yancey Fincher, pastor of The Baptist Temple, officiated at the final rites. Interment was in the Crisfield cemetery. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, February 3, 1939
