At the time of his death he was a member of the Air Force Reserve at Burlington with a rank of lieutenant colonel; was a member of the Methodist Church, was active on a number of church committees, was a member of Chancel Choir. He was a past master at Keosauqua Lodge 10, A.F.& A.M., was a member of Beer Barker Post 113, American Legion; was president of the Fox Valley Little League, was a member of the Keosauqua Country Club and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. Survivors include his widow; a son, Brian, 11; his mother and two brothers, Max of North Bend, Ore., and William, Hartford. The body is Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds
