Description	:	Wesley L. McNamar Wesley Leroy McNamar, son of Oliver and E. Mary McNamar was born at Azen, Mo. on June 2, 1895. At an early age he, with his parents moved to Mt. Sterling, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. While still in school he became a student helper in the depot as agent and operator. This profession has been his life work. On June 16, 1914, he was united in marriage to Grace Thompson of Bonaparte, Iowa. To this union four sons were born. Mary McNamar was born at Azen, Mo. on June 2, 1895. At an early age he, with his parents moved to Mt. Sterling, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In July 1920, he moved with his family to Keosauqua, where he lived for twenty-six years. On Sept. 1, 1946, he moved to Malcom, Iowa. Then on June 24, 1948, he moved to Monroe, Iowa, where after a short illness he passed away on Nov. 12. A number of years ago he joined the Methodist church in Keosauqua, Iowa, where he was an active member. After moving to Malcom he transferred his membership there, where for a time he was teacher of the adult Sunday School class. Mac, as he was familiarly called, could always be found of a Sunday School morning in the House of God, where he had an enviable record of perfect attendance for nearly eight years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Grace, four sons, Lorraine of Des Moines, Iowa, Noel of Keosauqua, Iowa, Max of Corvalis, Oregon, and Billy at home; three daughters-in-law, and one small grandson, Michael Maurice, of Des Moines, and one brother, Milton of Arbela, Mo., and a host of relatives and friends. His father, mother, two brothers, Raymond and Roscoe, two sisters, Beulah and Viola, and one grandson, William Leroy preceded him in death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, A Past Master of Keosauqua Lodge Number 10, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Modern Woodmen of America. Source: Van Buren Co.
