Description	:	Norma Jones, 82 passed away on February 11th at Mercy Hospital. Norma was born in Oakland, CA on January 28, 1935 to Jesse and Mabel Stowell who preceded her in death. In 1943 the family moved to Anderson, then to Olinda where Norma finished grade school and graduated from Anderson Union High School in 1953. Norma's first job after high school was working at a laundry in Cloverdale for several years. After that she worked at a laundry in Redding until it burned down. Norma was born in Oakland, CA on January 28, 1935 to Jesse and Mabel Stowell who preceded her in death. In 1943 the family moved to Anderson, then to Olinda where Norma finished grade school and graduated from Anderson Union High School in 1953. Norma's first job after high school was working at a laundry in Cloverdale for several years. After that she worked at a laundry in Redding until it burned down. She then drove her coworkers to a laundry in Chico. While she was still working at the laundry, Norma and her husband Cliff Jones started Jones' Garden in Olinda. People came from all over to get their veggies and fruit from Nevada, Oregon and the West Coast. Jones' Garden was well known for having good fresh vegetables and canning staples. When Cliff passed on, it was his wish to go back to Idaho where he was born. On that trip Norma had a good time with her brother Bill and sister-in-law Bonnie. However, while she was gone the Canyon fire came through the valley and she lost everything. Norma was a very strong woman and endured a long life with ups and downs. She bounced back and focused her energies on helping people, often driving people to and from their doctors' appointments and grocery trips. Norma was interested in people, she never met a stranger that she couldn't chat with and chatted up just about anyone. Norma is survived by her daughter Donna Marshall, grandchildren Christina Liu and David Marshall, great-granddaughters Amberlina and Briella Liu, brother Bill Stowell, sister Mary Ann Dunton, best friend Nola Taylor, many nieces, nephews and cousins, her Anderson Church of Christ family, as well as her friends at Vittles Family Restaurant.
