Nonie Smith Holland, 83, retired Crisfield waterman, died last Monday in McCready Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mr. Holland was born at Fairmount and was a son of the late Noah and Triffie Dize Holland.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sallie Ann Holland; a brother, Melvin Holland, Baltimore, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Hinman Funeral Home. The Asbury Church pastor, the Rev. Charles Hurlock, officiated. Interment was in Sunnyridge Memorial Cemetery.
