Daughter of Walter William Williams and Rachel Ellen King OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, November 2, 2000 PRIMM Nora Alice Williams Primm was born in Howell County, Mo., Jan. 2, 1915, and died Oct. 24, 2000, at Indianola, Iowa. She was the youngest child of Walter Williams and Rachel King Williams. She attended the various rural schools in Warren and Clarke counties and graduated from Osceola High School in 1933. She then attended two years of junior college in Osceola and later attended Drake University where she graduated in 1971. Nora worked for a lawyer in Osceola and for Iowa Southern Utilities before she was married. She taught Algebra and Business at Lacona High School from 1944 to 1946 and then resumed her teaching career at Lucas Elementary School in 1966. She taught sixth grade there until her retirement in 1981. On Sept. 11, 1940, Nora married Gerald "Jiggs" Primm in Keytesville, Mo. They lived on the Primm farm near Norwood and raised a family. After Jiggs' death in 1988, Nora made her home in Indianola. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters. Nora is survived by her son, David Primm of Ravenwood, Mo.; her daughter, Patti Abild of Indianola; four grandchildren, Pamela Railsback of North Liberty, Iowa, Anne Abild of Indianola, John Primm of Warrensburg, Mo., and Heather Primm of Springfield, Mo.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at the Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton with Pastor Mike Shields officiating. Burial was in the Norwood Cemetery. Serving as bearers were Larry Snuggs, Allan Fogle, Jerry Fogle, Leon Ehlers, Richard Hobbs and Kevin Kent.
