After supper all enjoyed themselves by talking and making merry. The presents were numerous and elegant. We assuredly wish Mr. Melson and his wife a very long and happy life. Shelbina Democrat (Shelbina, MO), 1890-04-09; Page 1, Column 4 —Mrs. George Melson died at her home near Mt. Pleasant on Friday, June 15, after an illness of about two months with brain fever. Funeral services were conducted at Bacon Chapel last Sunday by Rev. Taylor, and the remains laid to rest. Mrs. Melson was about thirty-one years of age and leaves a husband and two children, besides a host of friends to mourn her loss.
