Description	:	LYNDON --- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar for Norah Gwen Eissler, 75, Lyndon, who died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at an Osage City nursing home. She was born Nov. 28, 1923, near Ridgeway in Osage County, to Walter T. and Aleatha Tyner Clark. She graduated from Appanoose High School in Franklin County. She lived in Topeka where she was chief pastry cook at the Menninger Foundation for 20 years. She moved to Lyndon in 1968. She owned and operated cafes in Lyndon and Vassar. Read More	LYNDON --- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar for Norah Gwen Eissler, 75, Lyndon, who died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at an Osage City nursing home. She was born Nov. 28, 1923, near Ridgeway in Osage County, to Walter T. and Aleatha Tyner Clark. She graduated from Appanoose High School in Franklin County. She lived in Topeka where she was chief pastry cook at the Menninger Foundation for 20 years. She moved to Lyndon in 1968. She owned and operated cafes in Lyndon and Vassar. She also was a distributor for Stanley Home Products. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar, a youth leader at the church and a past president of the Women's League of the Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod). She was active in Breakthrough House in Topeka, and had served on the Vassar School board and was active in 4-H Club work. She married Marvin Gillard. He preceded her in death. She married Howard Eissler on June 21, 1952, in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Clark Gillard, Midland, Texas, Craig Gillard, Overbrook, Ralph Eissler, Quenemo, and Loren Eissler, Melvern; a daughter, Betsy Lynn Hawkins, Topeka; a brother, Walter Clark, Topeka; a sister, Betsy Bergen, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Burial will be in Vassar Cemetery. Mrs. Eissler will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care or to the building fund at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar.
