Mr. Rubeck, a United State Army WWII Veteran, died at Paramount Senior Living Center on Friday, January 26, 2007. He was born in Newark, Ohio on July 26, 1912 to the late George P. and Clara (Glaub) Rubeck. Norbert was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where he was an avid volunteer and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he worked for many years as a machinist, and was a member of the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers, Owens Retirees, and the 25 Year Club. Norbert is survived by his sisters-in-law, Jane Rubeck of Newark, and Beatrice Rubeck of Ashland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Norbert was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (McGinley) Rubeck; and his eight brothers, Charles, Msgr. Hubert, George, Paul, Cletus, Herman, Clair, and Thomas Rubeck. Friends and family may call from 7-9 P.M. on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Rosary Service will be held at 8:30 P.M.
