Donald Hunzeker officiating. She was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Minden to John and Dagny (Christensen) Jensen. On Oct. 2, 1946, she married Norris Christensen. Survivors include her husband; sons, Robert Christensen of Hot Springs, S.D., and John "Mark" Christensen and his wife, Jane, of Minden; sister-in-law, Luanne Johnson and her husband, Roger, of Minden; daughters-in-law, Karla Landry of Grand Island and Janet Christensen of Casper, Wyo.; grandchildren, Heather and Tom Thesenvitz of Washington, Megan and Shawn Duncan and Dana and Donnie Fetters, all of Colorado, and Brooke and Eric Graham, Robin and Ty Mortenson, Jon Christensen and John Christensen, all of Wyoming; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Tarah, Tucker and Elizabeth Thesenvitz "with twins on the way," Kristian and Madison Duncan, Elijah Graham, Ryleigh Mortenson and Mary, James and Anna Fetters; great-great grandson, Bentley Thomas Thesenvitz; and cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church. She graduated from Minden High School in 1943. She entered nursing training in June the same year at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and also at Chicago's Nursing Center. She received her registered nurse degree in August 1946. She married her high school "sweetheart," Norris Christensen. She worked at the Seeley Hospital, the doctor's office and Kearney County Hospital in Minden for 26 years. From 1972 to 1982, she worked with Norris managing Pioneer Village Motel in Minden. Then, in 1982, they traveled to Casper to visit family and stayed for 11 years. She loved Casper, their church, Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Casper Mountain, all the good friends they met and being near family. In 1993, they returned to Minden and retired. She loved nursing. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, traveling, gardening, watching basketball, Husker sports, and spending time with old friends. She loved her entire family and was the perfect mother. She loved her Lord, who blessed her in so many ways through the years. She died and then she went to heaven real quick. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gilbert; and son, James.
