Known as a woman of joy, Norma Lee's smile was known to light up a room. She is survived by her husband, Forest C. Byerly, her two children: Ed (Sandy)and Linda (Tom) Anderson; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Norma Lee was born November 11, 1929, to Zell and Esther Darden, in Piedmont, Missouri. Read More	Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Norma Lee Byerly passed away peacefully on February 14, 2013 in Redding, California. Known as a woman of joy, Norma Lee's smile was known to light up a room. She is survived by her husband, Forest C. Byerly, her two children: Ed (Sandy)and Linda (Tom) Anderson; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Norma Lee was born November 11, 1929, to Zell and Esther Darden, in Piedmont, Missouri. After high school graduation, she moved with her family to Chico, California in 1947. From early on, Norma Lee was very active in her church and held almost every position throughout her life, including board member, Sunday School teacher, organist, youth leader, and worship leader. She also traveled with her son and her brother as a singing trio to many churches. In the years that Forest and Norma Lee lived in South Lake Tahoe (1969-1978), Norma Lee was the Chairman of Christian Women's Club, worked for a bank and helped plant two Nazarene churches. Norma Lee was an artist, painting a gallery of beautiful oils as well as many china pieces. She wrote lively and fun poetry, contributed to a published book with chapters: "Victory In Infirmity" and "Releasing Your Children Into Ministry". She enjoyed reading, sewing, writing cards to the sick, playing games with friends, and hosting beautiful and delicious dinner parties. Norma Lee was a marvelous cook! A devoted wife of over 62 years, Norma Lee continually called her marriage "honeymoon quality"! Her example of devotion and love to her husband and to God inspired many people. She was truly a virtuous woman of faith. Published in Chico Enterprise-Record on February 19, 2013
