Description	:	Norma Marguerite Wagner of Geneva passed away at the Sutton Community Home on Nov. 9, 2004. She was born in Sutton on Aug. 21, 1919, to Otto and Irma (Grosshans) Kohler. She was one of five children: Hilda (deceased), Morris, Victor (deceased), and Joan Ekwall. Norma graduated fro Sutton High School in 1937 and received a B. A. Degree from Kearney State College. On Dec. 27, 1954, Norma was united in marriage to Richard Wagner at the Federated Church in Sutton. They made their home in Geneva. Norma was an accomplished pianist, singer and choral director.... On Dec. 27, 1954, Norma was united in marriage to Richard Wagner at the Federated Church in Sutton. They made their home in Geneva. Norma was an accomplished pianist, singer and choral director. She taught music in Stromsburg, Sargent and 30 years in Geneva, retiring in 1982. She and Dick were members of the Congregational Church, where she served as choir director for many years. Survivors include her husband, Richard; brother, Morris and wife Mary Lou of Sutton; sister, Joan and husband Richard Ekwall of Farimont; nephews, Richard and Sharon Kohler, Robert Kohler, James Kohler, William and Tish Kohler, Steven and Beth Kohler, Stephen Ekwall, Thomas Ekwall, David Ekwall; niece Sharon (Ekwall) and husband Robert Hair; five great-nephews and four great-nieces; and Aunt Grace Kohler of Sutton. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. from the Kohler Mortuary Chapel in Sutton with the Rev. Lynn Strandt officiating. Special music was "The Hymn of Promise," "On Eagles Wings," and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" with Charlotte Bumgarner as soloist and Arlene Reighter as accompanist. Pallbearers were Dick Kohler, Bob Kohler, Jim Kohler, Bill Kohler, Steve Kohler, Steve Ekwall, Tom Ekwall, Dave Ekwall and Sharon Hair.
