Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Midway, under direction of Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Mr. Albers was born January 25, 1934, in Woodbury County, the son of Emil and Rosina (Schultz) Albers. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Following his graduation from Battle Creek High School, he attended Institute of Technology for radio and television in Omaha. He owned and operated Albers' TV and Variety Store in Battle Creek for more than forty years. He married Marlene K. Feddersen on January 23, 1960, in Battle Creek. He was a former member of Battle Creek ambulance crew and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing and collecting antiques. Survivors include two sons, Scott of Holstein, Iowa, and Grant of Yankton, South Dakota; a daughter, Ann Albers of Allen, Nebraska; a grandson, Zachary; two sisters, Arlene Iversen of Battle Creek and Donna Mae (Mrs. Earl) Petersen, of Anthon, Iowa; a brother, Eldon of Battle Creek; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Curtis Iversen.
