Norman was born on November 1, 1934 in Burlington, to Vernie “Pete” and Helen Mildred Zink Corbin. Norman grew up in Burlington, Kansas and graduated from Burlington High School in 1952. He had farmed, which was his passion. He had been a truck driver, and had worked for the Coffey County Road and Bridge Department. He was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church. On June 2, 1956, he married Joyce C. Marsh in Waverly. They were the parents of a daughter and three sons. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Wayne and Jim Corbin, and a sister in law, Beverly. Norman is survived by his wife, Joyce, of the home, his daughter Vicki Corbin, his three sons, Daryl and his wife Susan, Ron and his wife Patty, and Chris and his wife Amy, all of Topeka, his sister in law, Alex Corbin, Gridley, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. The family will receive friends on Friday, 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery, north east of Burlington. Contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society of Topeka or Jones Funeral Home, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
