Description	:	Norman H. Biere, age 92 of Lowden, passed away on Saturday January 9, 2016, at St. Luke's Unity Point Hospice in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with a Masonic Service at 1:45 at St. John's United Church, Clarence. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, with Pastor Tommi Boeder officiating. He married Bernita Muesing on November 25, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Norman farmed for many years and also worked at Land of Lakes prior to retirement. He was a member of the Olin Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Bernita; two daughters, Verlyn Biere (Tom Suhs) of Oak Lawn, IL, and Donna Biere (Len Thiele) of Geneva, IL; two grandchildren, Grant Suhs and Todd Suhs; one sister, Doris Henderson of Fargo, ND; and two brothers, Fred Biere of Naples, FL, and Henry Biere of Anamosa. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Glenn Meier and two brothers, Howard Biere and Raymond Biere. Chapman Funeral Homes
