Interment will be at 3:00p.m. Tuesday in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fruitland Baptist Church. He graduated from Mornon Trail High School in Humeston before he joined the Navy in 1975. He served his country for 15 years as a nuclear machinist mate, achieving the rank of chief petty officer, serving aboard nuclear powered submarines. He was most recently employed by Muscatine Power and Water as a mechanic supervisor at the power plant. He was a member of the Fruitland Baptist Church and served as deacon. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Jacquelyn; two sons, David and Daniel; his parents of Richland; two brothers,Rick Dorothy of Ainsworth and Doug Dorothy of Springdale Ark.,and two sisters, Belinda Rosenbaum of Washington and Donna Dorothy of Ottumwa.
