Description	:	The funeral for Norman K. Herrmann was Monday at 2 p.m., at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel. He died Thursday night at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital. Choc or Chocolate, as he was known to many, was born Jan. 18,1921, in Webber to Paul and Gladys Browning Herrmann. He was one of four children and was baptized in the Methodist Church at Webber. Herrmann was Monday at 2 p.m., at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel. He died Thursday night at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital. Choc or Chocolate, as he was known to many, was born Jan. 18,1921, in Webber to Paul and Gladys Browning Herrmann. He was one of four children and was baptized in the Methodist Church at Webber. After attending grade school in Webber, he attended Webber High School and graduated with the class of 1938. Herrmann enlisted in the Navy in April, 1943, and was stationed on board the ship, Medusa, where he was a welder. He received a honorable discharge in 1945. In 1945, after the war, he returned to Webber where he worked with his father and older brother, Frank, at the Herrmann Blacksmith Shop. He liked to teach young people to weld, and his hobby was making small anvils for his friends and relatives. He worked at Mid-American Dairymen, Inc., for 12 years as a welder, retiring from there in 1983. Oct. 9, 1949, he was united in marriage to Esther Andersen. After he retired, he spent much of his time traveling about town on his four-wheeler. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion and a charter member and past president of the Eagles Lodge. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Frank and Robert. He is survived by his wife, Esther; daughter, Mrs. Rick Collins (Jo Ann), Lincoln; brother, Howard, Mankato; and many other relatives. Pastor Ken Fairbrother officiated at the services.
