Description	:	Artie Kemper Artie Kemper, 86, of Villa Grace died there Saturday. Services will be Wednesday at 10 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Hastings with the Rev. Martin B. Lingwall officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery west of Glenvil. Mrs. Kemper was an Adams and Clay County resident for many years before moving to Rockford, Ill. She was employed as a nurse there until moving back to Hastings in 1973. She was a member of the YWCA and First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a post... She was a member of the YWCA and First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a post member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid at Glenvil. She was married to Henry C. Kemper March 14, 19417, at Glenvil. He died in 1952. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Lorene) York of Glenvil; two sons, Virgil of Glenvil and Erwin of Winnebago, Ill.; one sister, Grace Gerloff of Freeport, Ill; one stepsister, Alta Lindeburg of Hastings; one step-brother, Harry L. Lindeburg of Roanoke, Ill; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Good Samaritan Village. Butler-Vlland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
