Their one child, a son, George was born in March 1848 in Indiana. They moved to Pimosa Township, Cass County, Iowa and were farmers in the 1860 US CENSUS: George W. Coleman, age 12; Prusilla Colman, 27; Edwin Colman, 37. George married Adeline Nelson in Indiana, 16 December 1868. Adeline, abt 30, died of consumption 1 April 1877 and was buried in Michigan. Their daughter, Florence R. Coleman, 11 mos 15 days old, died 16 May 1877 also of consumption. Three grandchildren whom Percilla cared for in Exira, Audubon County, Iowa in 1880: James, 10 years old, born in Iowa; Alice, 8 years old, born in Indiana; and Anna, 6 years old, born in Indiana. At the time of the death of her husband J.Edwin on 2 March 1909, her son George had been killed in Canada about 1908. Her three grandchildren--James E. Coleman was living at Greeley, Colorado; Alice Coleman Forrester was living at Loveland, Colorado; and "Anna" Georgiana Bertha Coleman McDonald, was taking care of them-her grandparents-the J. Edwin Colemans, near Mitchell, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. 1910 US Census, Percilla, 78, widowed, was living with the D.L. McDonald family at Fanning, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. She is not listed in the 1920 Census, therfore she probably died between 1910-1920. [Her great-grandson Jack L. McDonald is buried here]. Granddaughter "Anna" McDonald--FAG #175116551.
