Description	:	Octave J. Lambert passed away Saturday September 15, 1962 at the St. Louis Hospital after being a patient there for one day. He was born in Berlin, the son of Edouard and Marie Martel Lambert. Mr. Lambert worked at the Brown Company Store for 30 years in the groceries and meat departments and in 1940 he started the "Lambert, the Meat Man" business which he operated for 10 years. Read More	Octave J. Lambert passed away Saturday September 15, 1962 at the St. Louis Hospital after being a patient there for one day. He was born in Berlin, the son of Edouard and Marie Martel Lambert. Mr. Lambert worked at the Brown Company Store for 30 years in the groceries and meat departments and in 1940 he started the "Lambert, the Meat Man" business which he operated for 10 years. He later worked as a bartender at the Joliette Snowshoe Club for six years. Mr. Lambert did some boxing and wrestling from 1902-1910, was director of a sports club, was a member of the Special Police Force from 1911 to 1917 and a member of the Maccabees drill team. He was a ballot inspector in Ward Three, served on the jury for several years, was a member of the State Legislature of Ward Three, councilman in Ward Three, director of the Angel Guardian Credit Union until 1957, and president of the same bank until 1960. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Snowshoe Club, Le Chalet and St. Anne Church. Surviving relatives are his wife Marie Bussiere Lambert of Berlin; one daughter, Miss Beatrice Lambert of Berlin; four sisters, Marie Gosselin, Alma Gagne, Apolina Aube all of Berlin, and Ludivine Ducharme of Manchester; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, September 18, 1962 at St. Anne Church. Interment in St. Anne Cemetery.
