Description	:	Ola E. Dudek, 94, of Casper, Wyo., formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at the Life Care Center. Memorial services were held at First United Methodist Church of Casper Aug. 23. Her body was cremated. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. CST Saturday at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta. The Rev. Michael Laing will officiate. Liewer Funeral Home in Wauneta is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dudek was born June 16, 1908, at Greentop, Mo., to George W. and Elsie E. (Israel) Branum. As a small child, she moved with her family to Palisade, where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1926. She married William Dudek Jr. June 26, 1926. The couple lived on the family ranch near Wauneta. In 1941, her husband was employed by the Veterans Administration. They lived in numerous locations, including Madison, Wis.; Reno, Nev.; and Lincoln, eventually settling in Grand Island. Her husband died in September 1966. She lived in Grand Island for 43 years. In 1993, she moved to Casper, Wyo., to be near her daughter and her family. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island and United Methodist Women. She was a longtime member and past matron of Eastern Star and was a longtime member and past queen of the Daughters of the Nile. She was a Red Cross volunteer for many years. In October 1967, she was named an admiral in the Navy of the great State of Nebraska by then Gov. Norbert T. Tiemann. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs.
