Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., she was the wife of Eber Hoyt Bishop and daughter of the late Zeb Vance Hamrick and Worthy Green Hamrick. Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., she was the wife of Eber Hoyt Bishop and daughter of the late Zeb Vance Hamrick and Worthy Green Hamrick. Mrs. Bishop retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Larry Bishop and wife, Margaret, and Dave Bishop, all of Gaffney; two daughters, Martha Wilkie and husband, Don, and Carol Hyatt, all of Gaffney; a sister, Louise Cash of Cliffside, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ronnie Hyatt, four brothers and six sisters. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to: Rose Hill Baptist Church, c/o 206 Blanton Meadows Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29341 or Peachtree Centre, 1434 N. Limestone Street, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
