Ola Lindgren following a short illness due to the infirmities of is advanced age. The final summons came to him in the home of his son Charles and he passed away peacefully with all of his children gathered round his bedside. The deceased was born in Skane Sweden on June 2, 1845 and passed away on March 27, 1932 having attained the age of 86 years nine months and 25 days. Ola Lindgren following a short illness due to the infirmities of is advanced age. The final summons came to him in the home of his son Charles and he passed away peacefully with all of his children gathered round his bedside. The deceased was born in Skane Sweden on June 2, 1845 and passed away on March 27, 1932 having attained the age of 86 years nine months and 25 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden. When 25 years of age he emigrated to America in the year 1870 coming to Fremont where he found employment on various railroads then under construction. On September 2, 1872 Mr. Lindgren was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Cline at Omaha. The first seven years of their married life were spent at Fremont following which they moved to a farm east of this community and later to the farm occupied by the son Charles. In 1906 Mr. and Mrs. Lindgren retired from active work and moved to Hooper. Mrs. Lindgren passed away in 1925 since which time he has made his home with his children. During his 62 years residence in the United States, Mr. Lindgren identified himself as a good citizen being interested in things for the welfare of his adopted country. Perseverance, industry and frugality were strong in his make-up and he fought with courage and patience the battle of the pioneer. The deceased is survived by 3 sons, Charles W., Francis E., and Nels H., and one daughter Mrs. Joseph Ruppert. One child passed away in infancy. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and great grand children.. the remains were taken to Hooper to lie in state at the Wollmer and Warne Funeral Home, from which the funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Arnold Thoren officiating. Interment was made at Hooper.
