Errickson Olena Amble Errickson was born at Copenger, Sogn, Norway, the 21st of March 1836; and died December 26, 1912, aged 76 years, 9 months and 5 days. Mrs. Errickson spent her childhood days in her native land, till in 1861, when she immigrated to America and settled in Wisconsin. In 1862 she was united in marriage to Errick Errickson. Errickson Olena Amble Errickson was born at Copenger, Sogn, Norway, the 21st of March 1836; and died December 26, 1912, aged 76 years, 9 months and 5 days. Mrs. Errickson spent her childhood days in her native land, till in 1861, when she immigrated to America and settled in Wisconsin. In 1862 she was united in marriage to Errick Errickson. In 1864 they moved to Greenwood county, Kansas, and here together they shared the joys as well as the hardships of a pioneer life. They remained on the old family homestead until 1908, when they came to Eureka and have lived since that time on West Third street. To Mr. and Mrs. Errickson were born nine children. Two died in infancy and seven children and eleven grandchildren remain with the husband to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and mother. They are Judge John Errickson of Kaliskell, Mont., Seward of Hot Springs, Ark., Andrew M. of Virgil, Bert and Mary of Eureka, and Mrs. Ellen Berge and Mrs. Anna Prather, who live near town. All were present at the funeral except the eldest son, John. The funeral services were conducted at the home Friday afternoon by Rev. E.T. Lundy and was largely attended by friends who wished to pay tribute to the good woman. Interment was made in the Ladd cemetery, northwest of town. From Eureka Herald January 1913.
