Christian changed his name from Blili to Blele when he immigrated to the U.S. They tried Iowa for a while, then moved to the Dakota Territory between 1872 and 1874. The land they found became part of Nebraska. Christian and Oline had eight more children. For an unknown reason they separated and he made his way to California. Olene stayed on the farm in Nebraska. The final settlement of her estate in 1912 mentions her living children and grandchildren from her deceased children: Karina Fredrickson, Adelaide, Wash. daughter age 49; Ole Blele, son age 45, Naper, Nebraska; Carrie Reese, daughter, Herrick S.D., age 45; Ida Farley, Red Wood Falls, Minn., age 33; Matilda Blele, age 37, We wela, S.D.; four Arnison children (Ruby, Milo, Lee, Harold), grandchildren of Olene, children of Gustie Arnison, deceased; John Scheie, Red Wood Falls, Minn., and Leo, Mary and Julia Scheie, grandchildren of Olene, and children of Minnie, deceased; Blele Holden, age 6, grandchild of Olene, child of Mary Holden, deceased.
