There will be a prayer service Thursday at 5 p.m. with visitation from 4-7 p.m. at the church. She died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Jenkins Living Center at Watertown. Olga Jundt, daughter of Jacob and Helena (Muhlbeier) Jundt was born May 19, 1919, on the Jundt family homestead 15 miles southeast of Eureka, S.D. She attended country school through the eighth grade. She worked for several farm families throughout her youth. She was united in marriage to William W. Pfeifle on Jan. 7, 1940, in Salem Lutheran Church near Leola, S.D. They farmed on their own farm near the Pfeifle homestead. They worked side by side raising small grains and livestock. In 1965, they moved into Ashley, but continued to farm, retiring in 1974. In April of 2005, they moved to Parkside in Aberdeen and in December of 2007, they entered Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. Her beloved husband of nearly 68 years died Jan. 4, 2008. Olga enjoyed crafts, knitting, oil painting and painting her husband's homemade wood crafts. She specialized in delicious German cooking and baking. The love she had for her family was very strong and spending time with her grandchildren was always memorable. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had been active in a Church Circle. Survivors include one daughter, Donna (Dale) McElhany of Watertown; one sister, Tillie Flemmer of Eureka, S.D.; one sister-in-law, Valora Lapp Jundt of Fargo; three grandchildren, Michael (Patty) McElhany of Phoenix, Ariz., Michele (Nathan) Palm and William (Marcy) McElhany, both of Watertown; seven great-grandchildren, Kyle McElhany, Katelyn McElhany, Keith McElhany, Thomas McElhany, Conner Palm, Olivia Palm and Cole McElhany. Her parents, husband, one infant brother and three brothers preceded her in death. The family prefers memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church, PO Box 257, Ashley, ND 58413.
