Description	:	The Belle Plaine Union, Wednesday, December 9th, 1981 page 4 Mrs. George "Ollie" Kutchanek, 85 died at the Marengo Memorial hospital Sunday, December 6, 1981 after suffering a stroke six weeks ago. She was born to William and Mathelda Upah Loffler on February 28, 1896 in Chelsea where she spent most of her life. She graduated from the Chelsea Public school in 1913 after which she was employed in her father's bakery and delicatessen. She was born to William and Mathelda Upah Loffler on February 28, 1896 in Chelsea where she spent most of her life. She graduated from the Chelsea Public school in 1913 after which she was employed in her father's bakery and delicatessen. She was married August 10, 1921 to George Kutchanek in Cedar Rapids, after which they lived one and one half miles west of Chelsea where her husband had farmed with his mother 1912. In 1971 they moved to Belle Plaine to be near their daughter and son-in-law, Gaynelle and Gene Van Gampleare. Mrs. Kutchanek had many hobbies, including home decorating, sewing and growing flowers. She sewed for her children and granddaughters and won prizes at flower shows sponsored by the Belle Plaine Commerce Club. She is survived by her husband and four children; five granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-grandsons and one sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven sisters: Minnie Brand; Mary Suchra; Libbie Vavroch; Emma Quigley; Anna and Carrie Polichek and twin grandsons born in infancy. Funeral services were held in the Hrabak Funeral Home in Chelsea for Mrs. George "Ollie" Kutchanek. Services were officiated by the Rev. Clem Burke of the St Joseph's 'Catholic church on Tuesday, December 8 at 1:30 p.m. Scripture service was held Monday. December 7 at 7:30 p.m. Her interment was in the National Cemetery.
