Read More	Orangeville Banner, December 15, 1976, Obituaries: O. Hamilton - Oliver Hamilton, 90, a resident of Dufferin Oaks in Shelburne, died Dec. 4 after a stroke suffered five years ago. Born in Laurel he was the son of Robert Hamilton and Ellen Jane Walker. On Nov. 9, 1909 he married Agnes Jane Trimble at her home in Whittington and the couple lived in Laurel, where they attended Laurel United Church. After he retired from farming at Laurel in 1948, Mr. Hamilton moved to Church Street in Orangeville. After he suffered a severe stroke the couple moved to Mill Street where they lived with his son, Harold, until he moved to Dufferin Oaks. Mr. Hamilton was a member of Westminster United Church. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his only son, Harold, of Orangeville, and by a nephew Robert Kennedy, of Grand Valley. There are four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his only sister, Mida (Mrs. W. Kennedy) and by his wife, Agnes Jane Trimble. Funeral services were held Dec. 6 from the Baxter and Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. G. Minielly officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton had celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary in Laurel in 1969. Their grandchildren are Marlene (Mrs. Don Anderson) of Nobelton, Terry of Burlington, Barrie if Toronto, Roxanne (Mrs. B. Watson) of North Vancouver, B.C.
