Craft, who passed away at the home of another daughter at Tacoma, Wash., Mr. Craft was a former resident of Coon Rapids and left here two years ago for the west. The body will be returned here for burial. Funeral to be held at the funeral home today. Oliver Henderson Craft was born at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, June 24th, 1858. He was the third of the five children of Stephen and Ellen Craft. One brother and two sisters have preceded him in death. When he was six years of age his parents came to Koszta, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. July 4, 1882, he was married to Minnie Bell Rosenberger of Marengo, Iowa. To this union three children were born Mrs. Frank Myers of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Melbourne Ballowe of Fort Lewis, Washington, and Carl H. Craft of Chicago, Illinois. When a young man he joined the Methodist church at Koszta, Iowa. He lived in Marengo until 1915, when he moved to Coon Rapids. In 1922 Mrs. Craft died and he then lived with his daughter near Coon Rapids. Eighteen months ago he went to visit his daughter, Mrs. M. K. Ballowe, at Fort Lewis, Washington. He died at Tacoma, Washington, after a brief illness, at the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 10 days. Besides his children he leaves two brothers, William Craft of Des Moines and George Craft of St. Joseph, Missouri, five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
