Earl, one of three sons of Rollie and Clara Hahn Earl, was born Sept. 3, 1916, at Downs. He attended schools in Jewell County and graduated from Superior High School, where he was president of his senior class. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Tracy at Hutchinson. He worked for Champlin Refining Company for 38 years, many of those years as terminal manager. As a youth, he was a member of Olive Hill Church and a long-time member of the Superior United Methodist Church. He was also a past member of the Superior Elks and Masonic lodges. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Kenneth Ivan. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. John Gamble (Yvonne), Houston, Mrs. Wayne Muirhead (Sandi), Gordon, Mrs. Marvin Banks (Sally), Socorro, N.M.; one son, Reginald, Houston; a brother, Ivan, Superior; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of arrangements.
