Description	:	OMAR R. PERRY Bath - Omar R. Perry, 89, of High St. died Sunday night at a local nursing home. He was born in Phippsburg, Jan. 13, 1886, a son of James E. and Margaret Johnson Perry. Perry, 89, of High St. died Sunday night at a local nursing home. He was born in Phippsburg, Jan. 13, 1886, a son of James E. and Margaret Johnson Perry. He was educated in Phippsburg schools and had lived in Phippsburg and Bath areas all his life. Before he was hospitalized in February, Mr. Perry resided with his son Arthur R. Perry in Bath for a year and a half. He was self-employed as a carpenter most of his life. He worked in the tin shop at the Bath Iron Works for a time and did lobstering for 10 years before his retirement. His wife, Melinda Campbell Perry, died in 1936. Besides his son, he leaves two grandchildren and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Curtis and Hill Funeral Home 942 Washington St. Bath. Burial will be in the family lot in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Times Record: March 31st, 1975: BATH - Funeral services for Omar R. Perry were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, 942 Washington St. Rev. Ralph Miller of the United Methodist Church officiated. Bearers were Clement Barter, William Blaisdell, Francis Oliver, and Thatcher Pinkham. Burial will be in the family lot in Oak Grove Cemetery.
