Omar operated a delivery service for the Des Moines Register and Tribune Company and the Iowa Parcel Service in Carroll for 28 years before his retirement. Omar Zeno Dillehay, 76, of 2239 North West Street, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home. Mr. Dillehay operated a delivery service for the Des Moines Register & Tribune Company and the Iowa Parcel Service in Carroll for 28 years before his retirement. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Wuertz officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll Cemetery. The casket will be moved to the church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday to lie in state until time of services. A family prayer service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 3 p.m. Friday. Surviving are his wife Hazel; a daughter Mrs. Howard (Mary Jane) Whittaker, Garden Grove, Calif.; a son Darrell Alvin Dillehay, Carroll; a daughter-in-law Mrs. Duane Dillehay, Fort Dodge; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two brothers: Lloyd, Marion, and Bruce Dillehay; two sisters: Mrs. Fred (Eula) Schafer, Pleasanton, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Jessen, Pasadena, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Gilbert Omar and Duane Ralph Dillehay; two sisters: Gail Cross and Geneva Jensen, and two brothers: Myron and Herman Dillehay. Mr. Dillehay was born Dec. 3, 1904, at Malvern, a son of Clairence Elmer and Ida Susan Dillehay. He received his education in Harrison County, Iowa. He was married to Hazel Zoe Piper at Council Bluffs, Nov. 28, 1925. He spent the greater part of his life in Carroll County. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. FROM CARROLL PAPER
