Stetler July 27, 1929 - March 6, 2010 Opal E. Stetler, 80, of Fremont and Coldwater, Mich., died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Maple Lawn Nursing Center in Coldwater, Mich. Mrs. Stetler was a homemaker and helped with the family farm. She has also worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne and at several other businesses. She had attended Bethel School in Branch County, Mich., and has previously lived in Fort Wayne and in the East Gilead and Coldwater areas. She enjoyed crocheting, hunting, mushroom hunting, cooking and working with the ladies aide of the Stokes Chapel United Methodist Church, gardening, and canning fruits and vegetables. She attended Stokes Chapel United Methodist Church and also attended East Ovid United Brethren Church. She was born July 27, 1929, in Coldwater to Delphi Elsworth and Alta Viola (Sousley) Dove. She married Billie Dean Stetler in 1946 in Fremont. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2000.Surviving are a son, Marvin and Martha Stetler of Coldwater, Mich.; three daughters, Faye Fee of Coldwater, Mich., Cheryl (Terry Carpenter) Hutchins of Fremont, and Joann and Tim Coonce of Huntertown; nine grandchildren, Martha & Willie Morgan, Dawn & Steve Myers, Rachelle & Nathan Roby, Brook Fee, Kelly & Chad Nettleman, Fred & Andrea Stetler, Shane & Stephanie Hutchins, Shaquile Coonce, Makayla Coonce; 11 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, Bailey, Austin, Tyson, Kayden, Damion, Max, Conner, Chloe, Chaelinn; a sister, Madge Scheidler of Coldwater; and two brothers, Delmar Dove of Fremont and Jacob ‘‘Jake'' and Wanda Dove of Birmingham, Ala. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Lanny Fee; four sisters, Freda Kosmerick, Agnes Kimbell, Wilda Thornton and Blanche Leland; and a brother, LeRoy Dove. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the funeral home. The Rev. Edward Mohr will officiate. Burial will be in California Cemetery, California Township, Branch County, Michigan.
