Description	:	Obituary Wilda (Stub Wallace) Thornton, 80, of Tekonsha, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at home surrounded by family. She married Lawrence (Red) Wallace in 1951. He preceded her in death in 1988. She married Harry Thornton January 19, 1994. He survives in Tekonsha. Mrs. Thornton came to Albion in 1952, where she was employed by Corning Glass, Kroger and Foodland for several years. She was a member of Moose Lodge in Coldwater, and the Travel Trailer Club of Michigan. She enjoyed winters in Florida, traveling, crocheting and cooking. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Thornton is survived by four daughters, Mary (William) Perry , Shirley (Gene) Brand , Ann Tabor and Elaine Vincent; four stepchildren, Jean Henderson , Jerry (Dodie) Thornton , Ken (Sally) Thornton and Ann Thornton ; four sisters, Freda Kosmerick , Agnes Kimble , Madge Scheidler and Opal Stetler ; two brothers, Delmar Dove , and Jack Dove ; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Leland, a brother LeRoy (Korean Conflict), and a granddaughter. A funeral service was held Friday, November 7, at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home in Albion, with the Rev. Bob Zuhl officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
