Description	:	Opal F. (Frey) Krienke was born to her loving caring parents Leo R. and Anena Johana (Nelson) Frey on Thursday July 17, 1919 near Pierce, Pierce County Nebraska. Opal was baptized on Sunday August 17, 1919 at the United Methodist Church at Pierce. Opal attended district 33 elementary school and was a 1936 graduate of Pierce High. Opal was united in marriage to Ted Krienke on Wednesday November 21, 1945 at the United Methodist Church at Pierce by the Rev. Opal was baptized on Sunday August 17, 1919 at the United Methodist Church at Pierce. Opal attended district 33 elementary school and was a 1936 graduate of Pierce High. Opal was united in marriage to Ted Krienke on Wednesday November 21, 1945 at the United Methodist Church at Pierce by the Rev. Ireland, they were blessed with three sons and a daughter over the years of their marriage. The couple farmed west and south of Pierce, this is where they raised their family. I drove to this farm in the mid-sixties when I dated their daughter for a short time. I recall Opal and Ted talking about making homemade dandelion wine, I don't believe they allowed me to taste the homebrew, I was under age at the time. Opal enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, cards, puzzles, and creating beautiful flower beds. Opal was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the United Methodist Church and assisted the Ladies Aid of the church. Opal and Ted retired from farming in 1994. In August 2014 she became a resident of Pierce Manor. Sadly Opal passed at the Pierce Manor on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at the age of 95 years, 2 months, 20 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 34,781 days. Opal's visitation was held at the Stonacek Memorial Chapel of Pierce on Friday October 10, 2014 from 4p to 7p. Opal's funeral was held at the United Methodist Church at Pierce on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 10:30a. Opal was interred in the Prospect View Cemetery. Opal's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Opal by an old friend Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
