Description	:	Opal Houchin Jett, 101, of Arnoldsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Grover and Stella Matheny Houchin. She was a member of the Beech United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing, pie baking, gardening, canning, singing hymns and farming. Surviving are a son, William Michael Jett of Spencer; and a brother, Grover Houchin Jr. of Beech; and several nieces and nephews and their families. The family would like to thank all the family, friends and caregivers who helped in any way. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg.
